Hi All! I’m a tad late for today’s post, so I’ll make it a quick one.
I ran into Santa and he wanted to ask our readers what your favorite Santa or Santa Claus name is.
There’s Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, Sinter Klaas, the jolly pink giant (I think I just made that one up), and tons of others.
There’s also Santa Ana, Santa Barbara, Santa Fe, and many other fun variants!
Stay tuned for an awesome Grinch-themed post from Diddy tomorrow, and weigh in on your choices!
I am told that Santa Claus in Italian is Babbo Natale. That’s tough to beat.
Gteat post idea. And no, the color of Santa debate rages on.
Haha, sad but true. I look forward to the day when santas aren’t judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their wrapping paper!
Great line, you should have used it in the post.
Go orthodox! Saint Nicholas.
But “Sandy Claws” from Nightmare Before Christmas was good!
Papa Noel?
Good one, I like it! Hadn’t thought of that one!
Apparently Babbo Natale is the Italian name, and Julenissen (“the Christmas gnome”) is the Norwegian one! Ahhh… names are wonderful, aren’t they?!? 🙂
I can’t say Babbo Natale without moving my hands around. Now I want pizza.
It’s almost Christmas… treat yourself to some pizza! And while you’re at it, also have some pasta fetuccine and salami stromboli! (I agree with you, moving your hands around is contagious and makes you want Italian food 🙂 )
Don’t make-a me start-a talk-a the Italian, Dave. You-a know what-a can happen.
Yikes! Good point!
Jultomten is the Swedish name. Baba Noel is the persian one.
On a side note, I read a humorous (so probably BS) article about the Krampas – a naughty child spanking demon that has been enslaved by Saint Nick to dispense justice and clean up the streets of Gotham City. Well, I added that last part.
Regardless, Krampas is an awesome thing to say aloud.
Interesting! Definitely one I haven’t heard of before. I hope it’s legit.
He was described as the “Batman of Christmas.”
It’s sad how often I read humor articles and wish for them to be true!
